Whos behind UK Bass Radio?

Just wondered as theres no 'about us' page...

So whos running things? A mission statement perhaps?
Sorry just nosey but it would be nice to see who's behind the setup

Thanks c-j (are you DJ CJ btw? if so great set yesterday!)

So who are Gav and Ben where they from, background, and why av they set this up? What's their mission? I rekon you could get a nice little community going here, (people often like to feel they 'know' you a little). At the moment ukbassradio feels a bit 'isolated' (well from a newcomers point of view anyway) I think if you add a personal touch it will give you an advantage over the other places...

Thanks for your comments ezAzz much appreciated. That would be a good idea I'll speak to ben and we can get a page up with a little info about us. I am a DJ (AKA DJ Overload) and you can check out my profile by going to http://www.ukbassradio.co.uk/profiles.php and clicking on DJ Overload. Ben is not a DJ but we have known each other from school where we were pretty much the only DNB heads there. We talked about setting up a radio station as a hobby and to spread the word about dnb for a while and eventually did it in late 2002 and we've never looked back since. Ben is currently travelling the world gaming for 4Kings (his gaming alias is AphexTwin) http://4kings.esportsea.com
Thats a little bit about us to keep you going for a while, but now I have finished uni and have a bit of time on my hands, I'll get a page on the history of ukbass and a bit more about us....

Nice to meet you Gav (and Ben!).

I think it's ace what you are doing here - and brilliant to see 'youngsters' doing something productive especially with something they love.

I'll try and 'help' by offering a few tips here and there (of course feel free to ignore them!) as I'd like to see this place kick off - hopefully by spreading the word people won't have to endure the rubbish on Radio 1 and can tune in here instead

Just read you are currently producing - fab! Not sure if If I've mentioned it but I used to have a small Studio when I lived with my parents (still have it but its in storage )

Good to see you at it tho and I intend to pick up where I left off at some stage - just got a whole load of things going on at the moment that need sorting first

Hey, sorry for only just noticing this but i got home from Sweden last night.

Think Gav pretty much covered everything. I'd love to be alot more active around here then i currently am but due to my hectic lifestyle i have little spare time. Every month im away for 3 weeks and home for 1 which now often means i miss Gav preforming in clubs and on UKB.

From mid july onwards i have a 4 week break from my travels so i'll sure as hell get back into the swing of things. On that note i'll leave you guys, need to wash my clothes and pack as im off to New York on monday.

Trust me, travelling and seeing the world is quite tiring.

Brilliant stuff Ben! Is it work related the travelling? Sounds like an Air Steward? Great job, you get to go to all those countries stay in the best hotels AND get paid for it
