In my opinion, I think this can narrow down to these people: Kilo, Clips, Corosive, Heist, and DJ Deval. Opinions??

None of them. I dont mean that negatively but Krust was a true pioneer who had an individual, deep sound.

Sabre is the next big name in my opinion.

Cant forget True Stories and Soul in motion by Krust. Classic's!

I agree that the odd track can sound 'dull' but he had a damn good attempt at recapturing his old sound in his recent album - Hidden Knowledge.

Heist is my favourite of the listed above.

Yeh - sorry - I posted then deleted it virtually immediately - I dunno why, because I don't want to come over as some name-beater, or over opinionated I guess - especially when I don't usually know what I think. Fuck knows - but since Mindset got in so quick i guess I better put the evidence back up:

Krust writes some good tunes - including the odd gem like set speed or warhead, and occasionally an interesting wierd/off the wall tune. I like Sahara - which he has out now. Generally though I find his production pretty predictable and dull. One level - same same.

Kilo - I like some of his stuff, but he ain't really a Krusty IMO, he's harder

Clips - The master of copy and paste a 1980's casio keyboard himself. Generally really dull, but occasionally redeems himself with the like of New Generation

Corosive - Can't say I am familiar with this character

Heist - some quality business, but a lot more amen oriented than Krust

DJ Deval - usually more cheesy and vocally, but I have noticed him going down the rolling one level repetitive route lately

None really fit the bill as the next Krust - whatever that might be. I suppose in terms of repetitive same same ness + odd gem - Clips is closest to fitting the bill.

To be honest know one will ever be the next Krust because he is his own individual person and producer , and if anybody wanted to be the next Krust then that would be wrong , you should want to be your own person and have your own unique style.. Very Happy

Yeah totally , I mean obviously they are gonna have there inspirations so their music will be similar but with their own take on it.... Look at TC , everyone used to think his tunes was made by Dillinja because of the similarity in producing but when you are into that style thats what you are gonna be making , but he has got his own thing going on now so he has grown as a producer...
