I don't think it matters who u with just weather or not u near to an exchange 
for me at the mom me not connected at all but just use the net at mates houses,but i would say that bt is shit in scotland,it allways hangs when downloading big files grrrr

im with who used to be homecall, but i think they got bought out by pipex. You'd think the hoff would have sorted it but i get pretty shit d/l speeds at times. im about a mile away from the exchange and the max we can get it 2meg. im pretty sure the bandwidth gets limited in the evenings too, and ive often gotta reset the router. maybe a few times a day. pain in the arse when im trying to stream |
