I've got a load (and I mean a box full) of recordings from Kool FM Midlands from 1998 to 2001, with DJs like Devize, JB & Spice, Ellis the Menace, Hazard, Surge + loads more.

ez mr nice, have loads of old skool tapes from 1991 onwards, kool fm from back in the dayz, awol and manymore. will have to sort out me kit and wiring and find the bboxes of tapes though!! will try to get it sorted. havnt checked em out for ages though! trip down memeory lane and all that |

I keep meaning to rip some tapes to mp3, havent had chance yet coz i have to rewire my mixer up, but i will get round to it over the next few weeks |

Ive finally got a cable so i can record from tape. I will start ripping some old skool tapes.

bad boy herbalist, all u need is a cable that connects from your hifi / tape player to your pc - it will usually be a stereo jack > 2 phonos there not too expensive ( this is what you PROBABLY need depending on your setup http://www.djstore.co.uk/cgi-bin/item.pl?&item=sky104984 )

Stations include: Kool 105.6 / 92.4 SilkCity 107.2 Vale FM 105.2 Sting FM 107.8 Real FM 92 (Mostly Kool FM) I'll let u know when done. Easy m8 did you ever get any of the Kool Fm Midlands tapes ripped too mp3 im badly after any ellis the menace sets I was a regular listener too kool back in the day ive got a couple of tapes ripped myself if you want them |

 JUST BEEN SEARCHING THE NET FOR OLD KOOL FM SETS AND FOUND YOUR POST. HAVE YOU MANAGED TO GET ANYWHERE WITH THIS? I'M A BIG KOOL 94.5 LISTENER FROM DAY AND AM IN THE PROCESS OF ENCODING ALL MY SETS. WOULD YOU BE UP FOR JOINING FORCES/SWAPPING/SELLING ANY OF YOUR OLD SETS??? MIKE |
