Johnny Clarke
'During the years 1975 - 1981, the period that Bob Marley and the Wailers gained their huge international audience, three singers ruled the Jamaican Dancehall - Dennis Brown, Gregory Issacs and Johnny Clarke. Both Dennis and Gregory went on to attract considerable recognition outside Jamaica; of the trio, Johnny Clarke is still the least known internationally.'
Steve Barrow - 1998

Lined up for next year

Alton Ellis
Mr Soul of Jamaica! An extraordinary voice and a Jamaican foundation, he took part in the first ever recording sessions for Studio One in 1959 ("Muriel" Alton & Eddy) at Federal and for Duke Reid's Treasure Isle label as well. He is regarded as one of the first Jamaican musical superstars... Alton Ellis scored an infinite amount of hits in different styles going from Jamaican R'N'B to Rocksteady and Reggae, many Lps collecting his classic tunes are availabe and his many hits are often reissued on 45...

Jah Shaka
Jah Shaka is one of the most important roots reggae and dub artists. He's a composer, musician, singer, mixing engineer, producer, record label owner, and the operator of the heaviest roots/dub sound system in the world!

Nuff said....
