After an amazing first year…
Rise is back for the first event of 2008…
It’s our 1st birthday... gonna be a big one 
We welcome for the first time… Black Sun Empire!! These guys represent the finest in dark and techy dance floor drum and bass.
Since bursting onto the scene back in 2000, they’ve continued to develop their own unique style and sound,
releasing numerous singles as well as two full-length LPs and establishing themselves as leaders in the field.
With their awesome DJ skills and inspirational productions, Black Sun Empire have reached far beyond their native Holland and even Europe.
They’ve toured the world over, playing dates in the USA, UK, Russia, Korea, Australia and New Zealand to name but a few,
and continue to build on their growing reputation as some of the most exciting and consistent performers around.
2008 sees the massive Noisia & Black Sun Empire tune 'Infusion' released on Noisias Vision label.
Look out for the big new 12" from Telemetrik 'Cosmos', just released on their own Black Sun Empire imprint.
Nocturnal have releases on many of the scene’s most prolific Record Labels, they have carved their way into the Dj’s Boxes and CD Wallets of many main players of Drum n Bass.
Nocturnal first gained recognition in 2005 when the legendary Renegade Hardware signed “Crater”.
2008 starts off with a spate of no-nonsense rollers, a 12” for the Rotterdam based Syndrome Recordings entitled “Musk Up/Nightvision” that will be available in March on Promo.
These tunes have been doing the rounds of DJ sets by the likes of Teebee, Prolix, EBK, Vicious Circle, Universal Project and Calyx to name a few.
In line for March release is “Creeper” on Berlin based ShadyBrain Recordings.
Also Watch out for the eagerly anticipated Icicle remix of “Pokerface” on Revolution coming soon, and Nocturnal on Remix duty for C4C's "Moongerm" on the C4C imprint label.
The duo also perform DJ sets regularly at the legendary Renegade Hardware nights at the End in London, and also the Freak Family’s Therapy Sessions at Herbal.
Playing at venues worldwide, Nocturnal have over the last few years gained a reputation for rocking crowds and sweating out DJ Booths beyond repair.
DJ Sets include cutting edge music from the forefront of drum n bass, with a peppering of some classics that display the influences of Nocturnal’s style.
These elements have helped them become a sought after DJ performance.
The Sect smashed it at our launch party and now they return to Rise to tear up the place once more!
The Sect produce forward-thinking music, which blends techno and drum and bass elements to move the dance floor. Constantly busy with gigs worldwide,
their massive releases span labels such as Freak, Offkey, Position Chrome and Collective.
Recently working on a remix of Prode’s ‘Borer’ for Revolution and with Audio on a track called ‘Pounded’ for his debut ‘Tech Freak’ album ‘To the edge of Reason'.
Look out for their killer ‘Beyond Fear’ EP on Habit… BIG!
Rise all-star family Metrik, Kulak and Allied will be bringing that unique Rise vibe with their original and individual styles.
Kulak and Allied are stepping up with a special back 2 back set not to be missed!!
