First of I have been listening to dnb ever since 97 ( Artist like Dom, Dred Bass, Shy Fx, 2 Bad Mice, Blame, Dj Crystl, Andy C, and Origin Unknown Helped me find DnB) and just started learning how to DJ and have been able to produce for a very long time. (I have learned how to use Fruityloops extensivly because a friend gave it to me for free a year ago but lack the funds to coome up for Reason or cubase. I have recorded stints with FL and Acid since 98/99 though.). I used to live in Germany and Liverpool back then but now I am stuck in a very small Lame ass town in the US.

I am mainly using sites like this as a room for advice because I am not exactly in an area where Jungle/DnB is big. In fact to even stay in the dnb scene I prewtty much depend on the inttenet and Breakbeat Science to get dub plates and news. Lets just say this place is so bad that evenkeeping up with music that is not country is hard.

Another hurtle is that I am caught up in leaving for life after High School that I cannot afford to buy good or even ok equipment for mixing or djing. My ghetto Rig consists of A Stanton Belt Driven t.50 with a Numark Groove tool cartridge (Bought orginally to for listening, not Djing). For Djing I made the mistake of buying two Gemini CDJ-15X's for mixing ( I did not buy these in the set with the mixer and bag) and got a 15$ deal on a new Gemini MX-01 mixer from a worker that I knew at Guitar Center (I originaly had a Vestrex mixer that I bought in 2002 but that was "misplaced" in moving). I had a decent pair of technics headphones but those got stolen so I am temparary using lame Sony MDR-V150's.

If you can pleaz give some sound advice for my very low budget.

Respect to all soldies! Buy the Upbeats Remix of Bloodshot by Klone

Man - sounds like Your battling it out on the Redneck front, in desperate need of artillery and supplies... Thankfully your SAS training is holding you in stead, and it sounds like classic A-Team biznezz (Producing decks and soundsystem from the contents of an old barn and with only a welding tool).

Keep up the good work, and know your corps is behind you.

Not sure what to advise on the kit front...Obviously its best to get the best kit possible, but its amazing what you can get away with when in dire need. Dunno if u have Maplins over there? You can pick up like a mixer with no crossfader for a tenner (that was what I started on). But it sounds like u have some sort of deck setup, so you might be best off making do until you can save for some real good stuff. Anyways, most decks and mixers come out of exactly the same factory, they just have different labels on, its only really if you go for high end stuff that you get some exclusive design and components - So the truth is that much of it is very similar. Certainly Numark and Stanton pretty much come in this bracket, as well as Gemini - but each company produces some ok gear that will definitely get you by and actually some of their stuff is ok. Another cheep and cheerful brand you might want to consider is Citronic, which can certainly provide good value for money.

Prob the cheapest ok carts and needles are Stanton 500s - and u can get the unbranded copy ones well cheap.

Anyhows - good luck in ur mission souljah

crrrsssk......over and out
