Just aThought Exclamation

Cool Very Happy Idea Don't Know about any one else but hear'in the last two tunes on fat barry's set Thursday 7th December made me think, why is there no Raggae or Ragga slot on ukbass. Rolling Eyes

Heard from Fat Barry that Spex used to be the man for that, well in respect for the R.I.P me think someone should carry on the tunes, just 1 hour session a week would be enough, and lets face it raggae & ragga r just great to listen to sunday early eveing,When i mentioned this Lyricz jumped up to say she who love to but needs to practice a little more on the mixing thing. Very Happy Cool

does any other DJ feel they have enough tuneage to play.
Idea So if any one else thinks this could work plz post . Question ......

I do have allot of reggae and ragga tunes only on mp3 files though, i think my mp3 mixing software can broadcast live and i would love to do a special set as a tribute to spex but i think i would need some special hardware for it also. I would have to ask gav about that to make it a reality (fingers crossed)

Yeah man that would be good. You don't need any special hardware to broadcast, just the streaming software

I mentioned this to Nicky Freedom at the end of the freedom party - due to circumstances beyond his control he's unable 2 play atm but said he wants to get back on it asap, so hopefully he will b back in the not too distant future with some deep reggae vibes (fingers crossed) but 4 now, someone HAS to do it - most of us love abit of reggae! Smoke JointCool Mr. Green

Get on the case DJ Paul(SWEDEN) Cool

my comp broke the other week and i had to reinstall windows but luckily i did'nt lose my tunes, but i would have to reinstall my mp3 mixing software, its called Traktor version 3, i did have a look at it and i know i can broadcast live on it but when i mix will you be able to hear when im setting up another track if ya get what i mean? its ok playing one track after another but blending the riddims i need to know if its ok. i would need to ask techy rabbs about it cos he has got it(traktor version 3) or if any of you have got it let me know. If i can blend the beats without having to use sumfing else then im ready to play sum riddims Cool

i just saw this in a forum......

hi there ive installed and setup traktor dj3 as far as i'm aware correctly.....i can hear to cue up and mix correctly..all that is fine.....trouble is when i came to doing my live broadcast yesterday.....shoutcast isnt picking anything up unless i have "what u hear" selected and this is obviously no use as ppl can then hear the track im cueing in the headphones....i also tried to do a recording using sounforge but again....its not "hearing" traktor......to chk it wasnt a problem with soundforge or shoutcast i played an mp3 in a player and both sf and shoutcast picked up the signal......im quite confident all my settings are correct...i have assigned the channels in preferences and selected quadrophonic etc etc and i can use traktor fine to cue and mix...its just these issues with broadcasting and recording...any help would be great thx....i am not using an external mixer and have an audigy2 platinum s/c

u need 2 pcs - 1 to run the dj setup -> lines out to mixer -> mixer out to second pc that has shoutcast\oddcast to broadcast

(or does traktor have an onscreen mixer? If so same as above minus the hardware mixer. Still need 2 pcs)

Oh dam! Sad and i dont think i can download a pc lol. I will just have to play da tunes without the blending. You see the thing is when i do a mix and record it then do a playback i dont hear any of the cueing stuff.
Traktor has a on screen mixer.
