OFFICIAL BREAKOUT WEST STATEMENT

Due to extremely unfortunate circumstances that have arisen over the last week, we regret to inform you that Breakout West will no longer be taking place at Pontins Brean Sands.

One of the venues is undergoing building work which we have just been informed will not be finished in time for the event. This would mean that there would have been no Drum n’ Bass Arena as there are no other venues on the site suitable enough to use.

The organisers of Breakout West have been locked in crisis meetings with Pontins management all week trying to sort a solution to this problem, we initially looked at the possibility of merging two venues together but this would have meant that some of the acts would not be able to appear so this was not be a viable option.

The decision was then made to move the event to a later weekend. Unfortunately Brean Sands is fully booked for the next 12 months so this again was not a viable option.

Almost at the brink of cancelling the event, we managed to secure a deal with the management at Pontins Southport to move the whole event & are now pleased to announce that Breakout West WILL still be happening… The weekender will now be held at Pontins Southport on 7th & 8th March 2008 & is set to be bigger & better than originally planned.

Southport is famous for it’s legendary Southport Dance Weekenders so we feel that this will be the ideal location for Breakout West. The venues are bigger than those at Brean & there is a greater site capacity so there will be extra tickets on sale.

The Breakout West organisers & Pontins management would like to take this opportunity to apologise to everyone who had planned to attend the event in December, this was not the situation we had anticipated being in so close to the event but we hope you can understand that it was unavoidable & we have done our utmost to ensure that the event still goes ahead.

We understand that there are a lot of people from the South-West that were planning to attend but now may think that they are unable to due to the new location, so we will be running coaches nationwide to & from the event.

Pontins are in the process of contacting all existing ticket holders to let them know & will be dealing with re-booking/refunds.

Once again we apologise for any inconvenience caused & hope to see you all at Southport!!!
