SS is a pioneer and a legend - dunno about his owings but Formation brought nuff artists onto the scene who are certainly pretty successful now. Nuff classics since way back in the day.

Standard. I carry bags of respect for the guy. Formation has to be one of the longest standing labels which was responsible for so many hardcore / jungle and dnb classics. ppl like (the artists involved) ent stupid of course there was a contract involved but when you've signed your tunes to formation and reform recordings then the lable goes bust and djSS starts up a new lable WODNB and brings the old lable 5HQ back what are they supose to do? you cant claim on something thats titled bankrupt and tho djSS is in debt he hasnt got the money to pay these artists back. the thing that makes me sick is his started up 5HQ again and is running WODNB even tho his in debt and knows that he wont be payin the artists on them lables either, so soon as them lables go bankrupt he start another new lable and get new artist to rip off, thats why it was made public, more for the forthcoming artist to know what his like and hopefully not fall for the same tricks. EDIT: ADGEDUB ***** names dont need to be mentioned _________________

I don't quite get it - if tunes are signed to Formation and Reform then 5HQ and WoDNB have no right to release them without paying royalties to the artists. If the contract is any good then the artists can claim their money back.

What's that sayin'? ... "Don't wash your dirty laundry in public" ? SS ain't exactly a school boy who calls peoples mum's fat.... So why do they think they are goin' to get a rise from him but calling him gay? And Adge I ain't bein' funny but, it seems that Grid and all the producers from there have beef with one or more producers from other companies, making it clear in pretty much every Drum and Bass forum on the internet. Is this some kind of publicity stunt? Was just an observation. And NO I am not havin' a pop. I'm pointin' it out from an "on the fence" point of view. |

I personally think that it is good to make things like this public if they are true - that way other people won't fall in to the same trap. nuh i mean formation and reform released aload of tracks when the artists where signed to them lables but didnt get paid for the releases so when the lable when downhill he started the other lables up so technically formation and reform ent his problem no more kinda thing, cus he runs 5hq and wodnb if that makes sence? I'm pointin' it out from an "on the fence" point of view. thats not true drex, theres only 2 artists on grid that have been done in the same situation ie release tunes then didnt get paid so you cant blame them for wanting there money thats owed, and the other artists involved are on a different lable but got the same situation released tracks and wasnt paid for them. _________________
