Not a huge fan of Hip Hop myself, but im sure that this show would prove popular! Im gonna say Yes! Surely, alternate styles would reach out to a wider audience!

naturally ukbass stays mainly d&b but the idea of havin related styles hip hop/reggae & dancehall might be a good idea just to break the monotony |

Fair point Smiler! The way I see it is that it would be like going to a dnb night and, halfway through, a hip hop set being thrown in because its different/more popular. Madness. If there is enough interest maybe a separate station should be started alongside ukbass (like another room to accomodate hip hop if im going to continue the club analogy). If kool/origin etc. havent fallen into the trap of tyrin to please the masses, why should we? I want this to succeed because of dnb on its own merits, and feel that tryin to entice new listeners with hip hop shows is completely counter-productive, and at the risk of pissing off some of our regular listeners I'd say that if you want hip hop you could very easily listen to a different station.

i must say that dnb is dnb yes point taken but can i also quote that there is a lack of live shows being played at the moment........ plus if it is to remain a drum and bass radio station does that include getting rid of thr reggae shows aswell after all its drum and bass radio station ?????????? |
