Hello all, I'm new to the site but i've been listening through itunes radio for awhile. Could someone please explain how to download from the archives section. I've been trying to download the overload show from jan 19 07 and my computer just continues to load and never downloads. is there something else I need to do on the site before I can download? thanks, and UKBR is constantly killin' it.

Welcome to ukbass Very Happy

As badenc said, try Right Click > Save Target As - I know that if you have iTunes then you will also have QuickTime installed which tries to hijack MP3 downloads for some reason - basically what it does is downloads the whole file and then plays it, that's why it's taking a while to load.

I hope that helps Very Happy

I think whatever browser one is using makes a difference as well. I switched to Firefox recently (partially regret that), and since then haven't been pleased at all with browsing the archives - With IE I could simply click the file, wait a moment while my computer stubbed out the joint and splashed some cold water on it's face, and the file would begin loading and playing at the same time.

Now, with Firefox, the player won't open immediately. FF seems to think I don't want to hear the mix until it is completely dowloaded Rolling Eyes , so I either sit and wait for my jams Mad or come back to visit with my old IE and hit the archives like that.

If you want to listen to it straight away, just click the 'Stream' link next to the mix you want to hear. This will (should) open up Winamp or your preferred player and play the mix straight away.
