Yeh m8. As Dreamy says, u need to follow the correct steps to submit a demo. Once thats done the Boss Overload will let the DJ/MC know if they are ready to step up. But its good to see you are supporting them already. Big ups Cool

balls soz i just had a thought..

u said if overload thinks they can step up.. in my opinion shouldnt the listeners have a bit of a say in the matter?? lets be honest without any1 tuning in would this still b up n running?? not being offensive or nothing just ideas n shiz popping in me head.
maybe if an up[commming dj/mc was to get a poll vote from people that tune in and then the main man makes his decision from there?? i dunno lol..

well cheers n e ways yea

Well it used to be the UKB dj's did a poll this worked but it took time from application to gettin them on the station. If we let the general public decide (no offence) but the standard of DJ's would be far lower!
That is all

This aint a democracy Wink Laughing

The reason I do it as I do is because when we had a vote between the DJs, it was as if some of them didn't want to say no to any of the applications even if they were bad so I ended up making the decision myself in the end anyway.

I think letting listeners vote would be a bad idea, applicants could just get loads of their mates to vote and get on no matter how bad they are. Also, as most of the people voting wouldn't have personal experience in DJing, they may be less aware of the technical ability of the DJs that they are voting for.

I also want to keep a good mix of styles on the station - I am not biassed towards some styles of dnb (contrary to what some people might think lol) as you can see by listening to the variety of dnb on the station but as the schedule is getting full, I am looking for somethiing different (partlcularly old skool/jungle and atmospheric to name a couple). I think that it is best to aim for a good mix of styles, and this is what some other dnb radio stations are lacking. I don't think that could be achieved with an open vote.

The bottom line is that to get on here you will need to stand out from the crowd, something needs to set you apart from everyone else, be it the tunes you play or your mixing style (or anything else)

anyone is welcome to apply via the new application system at http://www.ukbassradio.co.uk/applications

Good luck Very Happy
