Proud To Be Different

Dear Nationwide's Internet Banking Holder,

During our regularly scheduled account maintenance and verification procedures, we were unable to verify your account information. This might be due to either one of the following reasons: 1. A recent change in your personal information (ie change of address). 2. Submitting invalid information during the initial enrollment process. 3. An inability to accurately verify your account information due to an internal error within our processors.

We demand that you take 5 minutes out of your online experience and renew your records to avoid running into any future problems with the online service. However, failure to update your records will result in your account suspension. Once you have updated your account records your internet banking service will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.
Please Click Here and renew your account information.

Laughing I had that 1 too Ed...

& 1 from Lloyds, Barclays, Natwest - the list goes on & on!

Nice 1 for bringing it to peeps attention tho m8!

I'm sure every one knows this but DON'T EVER GIVE YOUR BANK DETAILS OUT TO A LINK YOU'VE RECEIVED IN AN EMAIL - even if it looks legit, it wont be - just phone your bank if you're ever unsure!

I get loads of em....never had one from a bank I actually have an account with tho.

Most don't quite have the tone of Aquari's example tho - 'We demand' fucking jokers.

Remember the green cross code and look both ways! Banks will never ask for details.

Yeah the most common ones I get are eBay and Paypal ones - not quite sure what they would do with an eBay account Confused they cant get access to any money from that unlike with Paypal.

Ebay ones r to get your details so they can take advantage of your good feedback etc and sell dodgy goods, usually stating at the bottom of the auction that 'we prefer cheques or using some other less secure system like paypal!
