Just a warning in case you unwittingly stumble across this website:
I'm not sure if this is just me, but it isn't happening with any other web sites that I have visited.
The 'Explorer User Prompt' window poped up and tried to install a virus on my PC. Has anyone else had this problem while visiting the AFTERSHOCK KRU website?
IE then crashed. I tried to go on to the website again to check that it was not just my PC and the same happened.
the website is at www.aftershockkru.com

im not clicking on that site then, i havent got any anti virus on mine....why dont you convert to mozzila firefox, insted of using IE.
did this happen as soon as the page loaded up or when you clicked on a link on the site or mabey looking at pictures on the site??
im guessing the virus is called CVE-2005-1790, ill see if i can find anything on this.

something on there about it, it only attack's people using Internet Explorer, my advice if you want it is do a full scan now in safe mode, and start using mozzila firefox insted
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/upgrade-2.html
it is good, and there's not much difference to IE, infact it's probally easyer to use, it also tranfers all your bookmarks, it's up to you though

Easy Rocksta, thanks for that.
Quote: im not clicking on that site then - I wouldnt recommend going on to the site - I did disable that link when I posted the topic.
I did a virus scan after and it got rid of the virus, didnt do it in safe mode tho, so might be worth doing.
I have got Firefox, but I'm not a big fan of it. Mainly because it takes ages to load on my PC (I just timed it - took 7 seconds compared to IE loading instantly)

goes by other names aswell looks as tho it's tried to install it self on your machine, lucky AVG spotted it.
i renember before something like this installed on mine when using IE and it wouldnt let me browse anything, just kept redirecting me to there site, and it installed a toolbar, i had to use a program called 'hijack this'
http://www.download.com/HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html
could try it just incase AVG has missed something, it's like a spywer tool
